Narcissists are motivated by the fantasy of defeating their enemies. They fantasize about it so much that it leads to impulsive behavior. A vindictive narcissist will destroy their own life if it means yours will be ruined too. Their jealousy and fury drive them to take revenge by any means necessary, including fabricating evidence and launching smear campaigns. People think this must be exhausting, but for them, it’s energizing.
5. Scarcity Mindset
Narcissists have a scarcity mindset, constantly worrying about worst-case scenarios. For example, my father would consume fake news and believe wars were imminent, leading him to stockpile food and control what we ate. This chaos, tension, and anxiety made him feel at home, even though it was unbearable for us. His internal turmoil matched the external disorder he craved.
