They pick and choose pieces of information to convince you that you are the stealer, liar, and copycat, claiming that you are trying to become them. They create a narrative and spread it around to their enablers, who believe their falsehoods. They blame you for trying to steal their identity and trying to become them, which is how they harass you and harm your reputation.
In the process of smearing your name, the narcissist will make it clear that they are your secret admirer. They say your haters are your biggest admirers. Why, you may ask? Because this narcissistic person is jealous and envious of you and what you have to offer, which they can’t take away from you. As a result, they try to destroy it. But isn’t it ironic that they copy you while observing your every move? They keep track of what you’re up to, what you have created next, what clothes you’re wearing, who you are meeting, what job you’re interested in, and what hobbies you have taken up. They gather all this information and then imitate you.
