Weird behavior number three is loud grunting. Narcissists will make sounds like “H” or “Ooh” intentionally to force you to focus on them. Being with a narcissist often feels like raising a baby—they are so demanding. When they see you focusing on something or someone else, they will immediately need your attention. If they don’t have a legitimate reason to complain, they’ll make these noises until you ask what’s wrong. They won’t stop until you scream or shout at them, which they’ll then turn into a fight—something they’re used to.

Weird behavior number four is appearing from nowhere. One minute they’re gone, and the next minute they’re right behind you, creeping up without making any noise, and then saying something next to your ear. It’s like a scene from a horror movie. Your startled reaction gives the narcissist a sense of power, as if they’ve caught you off guard. They may also follow you everywhere in the house, appearing within minutes, no matter where you go.
