- “Let’s put the past behind us and focus on the good times we had.”
This tactic taps into our natural optimism and hope that people can change. They may make grand promises, express deep remorse, and reminisce about the “good old days.” However, this dramatic transformation rarely lasts. Once they regain control, their behavior often reverts to the same destructive patterns.
Recognizing love bombing for what it is—a calculated attempt to reel you back in—is critical. It’s not a genuine change; it’s manipulation.
