But instead of healing, the narcissist built armor, not to protect others, but to keep everyone out. To guard a throne made of ego and fear. And from that perch, the narcissist casts blame like thunderbolts. Nothing is ever their fault. Even their cruelty is justified in their eyes. But listen to me: Living like that is agony. Oh, carrying that kind of bitterness, always crafting stories where everyone is the villain but them. That’s not freedom; that’s a prison made from their own hands. And it doesn’t stop when you leave or when you finally see through the illusion. They didn’t change; they just found a new stage, a new audience. And the same script plays again. Don’t take it personally. It’s not about you. It never was. It’s a cycle that repeats, spinning faster and faster, shredding anyone caught in the wheel.
The narcissist can’t rest, can’t feel deep peace because peace requires surrender. Peace means laying down the weapons of control or stepping off the pedestal of pride. But the narcissist clings to those things like lifelines, even as they choke the very soul they’re trying to save. And what do they take? Oh, they take more than your time. They take your laughter, your softness, your wonder. They drain your energy while telling you you’re the problem. They flip the script until you can’t remember how the story started.
And if you’re not careful, if you don’t get out, they’ll rewrite your whole identity in their handwriting. But here’s the truth: What they steal, they can’t keep because they don’t have a place to hold what’s pure. You gave them light, and they tried to bury it in their shadows. You offered love, and they twisted it into chains. But light returns to the giver; it always does. So why would you seek revenge on someone already imprisoned in their own mind? Someone who has to wake up every day in a world ruled by envy, ruled by control, ruled by lack? This is the cost of their game. They are never satisfied.
You could give the narcissist the stars, and they’d still want the sky. Because it’s not about having; it’s about taking, about dominating, about silencing anything that reminds them of their own hollowness. They operate not from joy but from scarcity, not from love but from fear. They want to keep you down, low, broken, unsure, because that’s the only place they feel big. They are driven by a force that’s dark, consuming, and relentless—a need not just to win but to erase.
Make no mistake, this is not just a personality flaw; this is a spiritual crisis. This is a soul caught in its own trap. And if you think they sleep well at night, believe me, they don’t. Because no one who lives on deception finds rest. No one who manipulates finds peace. No one who abuses finds the comfort they steal from others. So don’t waste another heartbeat hoping they’ll pay for what they did. They’re paying every single day—not in ways you can see on Instagram, not in ways you’ll hear from their lips, but in the quiet, in the silence, in the mirror.
You, on the other hand, are rising, healing, becoming whole. What you carry now—truth, clarity, freedom—is something the narcissist will never truly know. Let them go. Let justice be divine, and you walk in peace.
