The Dark Side of Academic Narcissists
At a bigger level, you can find these narcissists in almost every institution. They are often teachers, doctors with many degrees, engineers, and so on. Their goal is to get a lot of money and power. Once they achieve that, they wreak havoc and destroy people because they are not answerable to anyone. For example, a surgeon with an MD may intentionally create errors without being caught, causing harm while denying responsibility. They become a satanic force of destruction, excelling but using their excellence to harm rather than uplift humanity.
I’ve seen it happen. The person I talked about used to say he wanted money and power, nothing else. These are confessions of a narcissist, and to this day, I remember them. That’s how crazy it gets.
Understanding academic narcissists is crucial. They may appear brilliant and accomplished, but their actions are driven by deep insecurity and a desire for validation at the expense of others. Recognizing their behavior helps protect yourself and others from their harmful impact.
