It’s not empathy; it’s theater—a costume they wear to collect loyalty, secrets, and emotional leverage. And when they no longer need your vulnerability, when you’re already in the trap, they will weaponize it. They will use it to shame you, twist it to silence you, and turn it into a weapon you never saw coming.
