The fifth and final move is trying to get you fired so that you lose that layer of stability and security. They might write countless emails to your colleagues or your boss, attempting to convince them that you’re mentally unstable and untrustworthy. They might even share videos of you reacting to their abuse, twisting the narrative to make you look bad.
They’ll send email after email, sharing half-truths and big lies, starting the story from where you reacted, but never mentioning the abuse. They become the victim and somehow influence people to discard you—this is called abuse by proxy.
To prevent this, have proper conversations with those in authority at your workplace. Make them aware of what’s happening at home, and tell them, “Before you believe anything, consult me first. I have a lot to show while they have a lot to say. Don’t just believe their words.”
