The physical manifestation of this spiritual decay is profound and visible. Their body begins to show the signs of this energetic collapse in ways that are startling to witness. The vitality they once had, that glow, that magnetic presence they displayed when they were with you, simply vanishes. But the physical changes go deeper than surface-level aging. This isn’t coincidence or karma in some abstract sense; this is the direct result of their spiritual body finally having to function without its external life support system. You were literally keeping them alive on a spiritual level.
Your energy, your presence, your life force was sustaining them in ways that go beyond what most people can comprehend. When you remove that spiritual sustenance, their body begins to shut down because it was never designed to function independently. They were living off borrowed energy, and now the loan has been called in. This decay is visible to anyone who knows what to look for. When you encounter them months or even years after leaving, they do not look like the same person. They lack the same vitality, force, and presence they had when they were with you. It’s as if someone dimmed their inner light permanently.
At this point, you may argue, “But I have seen my narcissistic partner or parent glow or appear happy after I left.” What you are seeing or what you have seen is a snapshot, a performance, a desperate attempt to maintain the illusion of vitality. You’re not living with them anymore 24/7. You’re not sitting with them in quiet moments. You’re not eating meals with them day after day. You’re not seeing the mask they put on for public consumption, not the reality of their daily existence.
