Physical contact becomes repulsive. Where their touch once brought comfort or pleasure, now even accidental contact feels dirty—basically contaminating. But now, when they try to bait you into conflict, your body remains calm. Somehow, your breathing stays steady. Your heart rate does not spike. You observe their tantrum with the detached interest of someone watching a stranger have a breakdown in public.
This emotional flatness—it’s clarity. It’s your nervous system finally understanding that this person poses no real threat to your well-being because you have stopped giving them the power to affect you. You have intentionally created this distance because you refuse to share your sacred energy with someone who would weaponize it against you.
