There are many layers to this reaction; they can’t stand the fact that you are not conforming. They will dislike it even more because they realize they don’t have control over you anymore. You’ve decided that you are not doing this anymore, which is great because you’re breaking free from something toxic and damaging.
However, this triggers a range of reactions with the narcissist. Here’s what to expect from them when you’re never coming back.
