Taking responsibility for their actions is so difficult for a narcissist that they would rather die than do it. They can never self-analyze—you know this very well, don’t you? That’s why they gaslight so heavily and even believe their own lies. Amongst all the things they do, there are specific mind games they play to convince you—not just tell you, but convince you—that you are a horrible human being, a monster. The problem is, you believe all of it. Not intentionally, and not because you’re a fool, but because the things they say, the way they say them, and the way they shape the environment around you make it almost impossible to recognize or fight back. This is why almost everyone they target falls for it.

1. Blaming Hormonal Imbalance

“It’s your hormonal imbalance that’s destroying our relationship. The issues you’re bringing up don’t exist—you feel like they do because it’s ‘that time of the month.’ Your body is your enemy, not me.”

This is what they say to dismiss your concerns, using your body as a scapegoat. They laugh at you, mock you, put you down, and insist you’re “too sensitive,” “too cranky,” or “too agitated.” They claim you’re taking everything personally because of your biochemistry, and they want you to blame yourself—blame your womanhood.

This tactic reveals their deep-rooted misogyny. It proves they hate how you function and find your struggles to be a nuisance. They use this as an easy way to shift responsibility onto you, convincing you that you’re the one creating problems intentionally to hurt them. But the truth is, it’s not your biology—it’s their psychology that’s completely messed up.
