A narcissist will act like they are the only person allowed to decide where things go. For example, in the kitchen, they may never cook but will dictate where boxes, pulses, and spices are placed. This micromanagement extends to laundry, books, and everything else. They will rearrange things almost immediately after you have set them up, making you feel powerless, insignificant, and as if you don’t matter in your own house. Living with a narcissist feels like being under an authoritarian parent who only knows how to control.

Number three: They invade your personal space.

During arguments, when some space is needed, they will intentionally come closer, almost spitting in your face while they talk. They appear larger than life to intimidate you, making you feel like you are living with a monster. This invasion of space is not just about proximity; it’s a psychological assertion of power that overwhelms the victim without a word being said.
