When karma catches up with the narcissist, they get what they deserve. How we treat others is a direct reflection of our inner feelings. The narcissist may act as if they are happier without you, but look at how they treated you. Their behavior is not that of a genuinely happy person. Only someone who harbors self-hatred behaves in such a manner.
When the narcissist leaves, nothing truly changes. They may post cheerful pictures on social media and pretend to be happier than they were with you, but this is just another illusion. Remind yourself of how they pretended to be happy when they were with you. This is a role they played, and it was only a matter of time before their true self emerged.
The Cycle of Deception
Narcissists know that no one wants to be around unhappy and angry individuals, so they disguise their true feelings. If you reflect back, you’ll see that what initially attracted you to the narcissist was their facade of happiness. Unfortunately, this was merely a deceptive front, and it was only a matter of time before you discovered the truth.
Now, the narcissist repeats this pattern with someone new, finding another source of supply who is as unaware as you once were. They deceive their new partner just as they did with you, often juggling multiple victims at the same time.
