The Only thing a Narcissist Desperately wants from You (Hint: It’s not supply)

The moment you try to pull away, they panic because, without your energy running through their wires, they go completely dark again. But here is the darkest part of their psychology, and it is the exact thing that keeps so many people trapped in confusion. You may be asking yourself a very logical question: If a narcissist wants my energy, why do they treat me so badly? Why do they ruin my happy days? To a black hole, it does not matter if the energy is positive or negative; energy is energy. In the beginning, they fed on your happy, loving reactions. But over time, they realized that creating chaos gets a much bigger, faster, and more intense reaction out of you. When you are crying, screaming in frustration, or desperately trying to explain yourself at 2 in the morning, you are releasing a massive amount of intense emotional energy. To a narcissist, this is a delicious meal.

They act as emotional arsonists. They will literally set fire to your living room just so they can stand near the flames and rub their hands together to feel warm. When they give you the silent treatment or pick a random fight out of nowhere, they’re just throwing a match into your life to watch you burn. Your panic and pain prove to them that they exist; it proves that they have absolute power over you. They do not care that you are suffering; they only care that your suffering is warming up their cold, empty reality because they’re constantly taking and never giving. This dynamic takes a brutal, undeniable physical toll on your body.

Have you ever looked in the mirror after months or years with a narcissist and barely recognized yourself? You may notice that your skin looks gray, your hair is thinning, your eyes look hollow, and you’re constantly sick or physically exhausted. Meanwhile, the narcissist suddenly looks younger, vibrant, and completely refreshed. This is not a coincidence. You did not just have a stressful relationship; you were being siphoned. Imagine your life is a car with a completely full tank of premium gas. You had big dreams, hobbies, and a vibrant social life. A narcissist sneaks over in the middle of the night with a rubber hose, sticks it into your tank, and slowly sucks the gas out to run their own stolen car. They drained your premium fuel to fund their fake lifestyle. They kept you up all night fighting, so you would be too tired to go to work or see your friends. They drained your patience, your bank account, and your physical health. They walked away with a full tank of your vibrant energy, leaving you stranded on the side of the road completely empty.
