Narcissists fear you regaining independence and remembering life before them. They use charm and manipulation to keep you attached. When you start thinking for yourself, they react negatively, trying to sabotage your confidence and capabilities to maintain control.
12 – Changing the Status Quo
Narcissists hate changes that they don’t control. The best way to make a narcissist miserable is to leave them. Staying only feeds their manipulation, but choosing to leave shows them they no longer have power over you. This is the ultimate way to disrupt their control and assert your independence.
