On the other hand, the narcissist embodies something entirely different—a force of chaos, destruction, and deception. They were chosen not by God, but by darkness—not in a Hollywood, red-horned devil sense, but in how they align themselves with manipulation and selfishness.
The narcissist was not chosen to uplift or build; they were chosen to tear down, to exploit the gifts you carry, and to disrupt the calling God has placed on your life. Their presence in your story is no accident. But they are not the main character—they are an obstacle, a painful lesson, or even a mirror reflecting the boundaries you need to establish with yourself, others, and the world at large. Their role serves to remind you of the love you need to give yourself and the strength you must reclaim.
Spiritual Dichotomy: Pain and Purpose
You may ask, “Isn’t this a spiritual dichotomy? If I was chosen by God, why have I experienced nothing but pain? Why didn’t God protect me?”
Being chosen by God doesn’t mean life will be easy or always filled with happiness. In fact, it often means the opposite. God’s chosen ones are often tested—walking through fire, enduring unimaginable trials, and carrying scars unseen by others.
You were chosen to endure, to rise, and to reflect God’s light, even in the darkest circumstances.
