What if I said a narcissist secretly knows that God is against them? You may think, for a moment, if God is against them and they know it, then why are they acting high? Here’s the catch: they’re not hyper-religious to honor God; they use religion to fool people. Many times, they pray because they know they have committed a lot of sins. They’ve done many bad things and try to balance it by praying, thinking God will automatically forgive them and everything will be balanced once more.
Think about it: everything is transactional in their lives. On one hand, they may murder someone; on the other hand, they may be praying, thinking that will somehow undo it. Their thinking is very different and diverges from ours. We pray out of pain, humility, and a desire for connection. They pray to manipulate God, believing that the more they pray and act religious, the more God will reward them with wealth, health, and good faith.
But time and again, God gives them a reality check. Still, they convince themselves that God is so blindly compassionate that He will forgive them no matter what they do. But that’s not how God works, is it?
The Narcissist’s Manipulative Relationship with Religion
Before we dive deep into the topic, let me give you the biggest proof that narcissists know God is against them. Whenever they do something really bad to you and know it was morally wrong, they suddenly become nice out of nowhere. They try to balance their bad deeds with their fake kindness, but that fake kindness never lasts long. They can’t maintain it because it’s a performance; they cannot act good for long since their nature cannot hold the mask.
In this episode, I’m going to prove to you that narcissists secretly know God is against them. From your experience, you may have noticed how a narcissist suddenly becomes nice out of nowhere the minute they get sick. Why does that happen? Let me tell you: it’s because they see it as God giving them a dose of their karma, like punishing them for all the wrong things they’ve done. So they switch and become nicer out of fear. They start doing everything you once dreamed they would do for you. They suddenly give you money they withheld for so long. Their behavior softens. They start planning a bright future with you. Why? Because they are terrified. Like I said, they think if they act good, God will somehow stop the consequences.
