When you think of narcissism, you might picture someone who is arrogant and bossy. However, what about individuals who are reserved, anxious, and quiet? It’s essential to distinguish between narcissism and narcissistic tendencies. Just because someone displays arrogance doesn’t automatically mean they are a narcissist, and certain personality traits alone do not warrant a diagnosis.
Narcissism can manifest in two forms: overt and covert. At first glance, covert narcissists may be challenging to identify due to their more reserved nature. This article is not intended to attack anyone displaying these traits or those diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
