Narcissists cling to an idealized version of themselves, placing others in lower positions to maintain a sense of superiority. They believe their distortions about their worth and reject the idea of equal footing with others.
5. They collect “lackeys.”
Narcissists surround themselves with people who agree with and validate their worldview, avoiding diversity of thought. They manipulate and dominate their inner circle, limiting their growth and reinforcing their narrow mindset.
6. They rationalize broken relationships.
Instead of taking accountability, narcissists justify their behavior and blame others. They might claim their partners or colleagues were “weak” or “insecure,” refusing to acknowledge their role in conflicts.
