The satanic voice tells them, “You could have been worse; you didn’t actually cheat on your partner, you just spent some time with someone else because you were feeling lonely. That’s not betrayal—that’s just seeking peace. Your intentions were pure.” This is how they avoid feeling guilt, convincing themselves that they are better than they actually are.
4. Devaluing Love
Satan whispers, “Your love is a gift they don’t deserve. You’re so loving, amazing, and kind, but they don’t deserve it because they’re not as good as they were in the beginning. They’ve changed.” A narcissist feels betrayed when they devalue you, thinking that you have changed, while in reality, it is they who have changed.
