When it comes to adaptability, they know how to walk over people’s dead bodies to reach the highest levels. I’m not talking about general adaptability; I’m not referring to a situation that requires you to change in some ways to fit in. No, that is just a part of their adaptability. They can morph into entirely different people, creating new systems and connections in their minds very quickly to know how to dominate.
Let me give you an example: imagine a narcissist who gets a job in a corporation where they can achieve a lot. When they enter the office, the first thing they do is scan everyone to identify who the alpha is in that environment—who has the most power and who dominates over others. What do they do next? They get close to that person; they befriend them and create a relationship through which they can share in that power.
Next, they find a scapegoat—someone who can be easily suppressed, a black sheep, or a rebel trying to see through the system. They need a bully; why? Because they require a common enemy. If they befriend another psychopath or narcissist, they need a shared target to strengthen their bond. But their intention is not to remain friends; it is to replace that person.
This is the adaptability I’m talking about. They keep changing and creating more connections just to target certain individuals. You may be adaptable, but as an empath and a survivor of narcissistic abuse, I know you cannot do this. So, this is a super talent that you can never have.
