They give you a life-threatening feeling you cannot ignore. This is the hardest one for me to articulate because it’s not about something they say or do directly; it’s about the way you feel in their presence after the discard. You may have had moments in the relationship where your gut told you something was wrong—a strange look in their eyes, a tone in their voice that didn’t match their words, or a physical closeness that felt more like a threat than intimacy. But after the discard, that feeling becomes constant and undeniable.
It is the sense that you were never truly safe with them. And now that they have no reason to hide it, the danger is laid bare in front of you. You can see it in the way they move, in the way they look at you, and in the complete absence of care in their actions. This is not just fear of emotional harm anymore; it is a deep primal awareness that they could hurt you physically, financially, or in ways you cannot even anticipate. The craziest part is that they seem to enjoy that you feel it.
When you get this feeling, you must trust it. It is your survival instinct speaking, and ignoring it can have consequences far beyond emotional pain.
