Some bullies are narcissists who use similar tactics to attack others for personal benefit or the false belief that they are superior.
Eating Disorders
You might wonder if eating disorders are mental illnesses. The answer is yes; they are recognized by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) as mental illnesses with eight categories. Eating disorders, like bulimia and anorexia, can be influenced by societal pressures, especially among celebrities held to high aesthetic standards. A narcissist’s view of weight loss can cause someone to develop an eating disorder, negatively affecting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Overcoming this condition may take time, which is why we must embrace ourselves as we are; we are all beautiful.
Depression
Depression is a common yet hazardous disorder that has resulted in many lost lives. It encompasses feelings of rage, grief, anger, and emptiness that cannot be explained. A narcissist’s involvement often leads to indifference towards others’ feelings. Instead of helping someone cope with depression, they may degrade them. Toxic friendships or romantic partnerships can result in deep emotional scars that cause depression. Remember, those suffering from depression may hide behind a pleasant facade, and their feelings are valid.
